Johannesburg

Our trip to Africa kicked off with a 15.5 hour flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg. Yikes. In Joburg Becca and I visited the Walter Sissulu Botanical Gardens, Constitution Hill, and met up with my friend Kirsty-Leigh for drinks. We had a good time here and successfully recovered from our jet lag and started to forget about work.

We stayed in Melville at Jonathan’s social justice pad. He bought the house with the intention of providing retreat space to social justice champions. For now he is renting it on Airbnb to regular folk like us to help fund the space. We were thrilled to be a part of his project!
