I Immediately Regret This Decision...Due to the combination of our two casualties (Chris now actually had blisters LARGER than his feet, and Erica was too busy coughing to yell at Apollo.) and the possibility of Another Hill of Even More Doom, we elected to skip our second night in the backcountry and flee to the campground. We took a different route out to mix it up a little and got back to the site safely before dark. We reset camp and crashed for the night, planning to do a day hike the next day.
